Good idea, but...

Good idea but what is the point of a chat app that doesnt have a way to ping the person you want to chat with? If you have to go across the hall, or the down the stairs and say; "hey, turn on your chat app so we can chat" you might as well keep talking without it. There has to be some way to notify your friend other then shouting at them to turn the darn thing on!
